Eddie Hearn Warns of Lawsuits Against Eubank Jr Following Disruption Allegations
Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn has vowed to sue against Eubank Jr, following the boxer alleged his rival’s camp of using underhand tactics and attempted sabotage before their upcoming rematch.
Claims Made by Eubank Jr
The boxer, who won their initial fight by unanimous decision, stated that an ambulance taking him to hospital after the bout was prevented from leaving for a significant period.
“Every effort was made to try and destroy me during the previous bout,” the fighter stated. “Contract breaches, fines, strict weight rules, a sabotaged weigh-in, one-sided broadcast remarks and refereeing. The list goes on.”
He also claimed that his support staff were blocked from entering the stadium and that security personnel attempted to delay his entry on purpose.
Hearn’s Response
The promoter dismissed the claims as “nonsense” and threatened legal consequences unless the boxer apologizes.
“He is unaware that there is a log on fight night, it’s available in black and white,” Hearn emphasized.
He added, “We expect an apology, or we will pursue legal action. I take this personally. The company’s integrity is impeccable.”
Backstory of the Rivalry
The feud between both fighters stems from a decades-old generational dispute that began 35 years ago during which their parents, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, faced off in two memorable matches.

During the media event, Conor Benn honored to late boxer Hatton, after being discovered deceased at his home at the age of 46.
“Hatton represented a figure who really supported me professionally and a person that took me in as a mentor,” Benn stated. “He made me feel comforted during times without a home. He meant everything for my development.”
Preview of the Second Fight
The rematch, billed as “Unfinished Business,” will take place come 15 November at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Eubank Jr has enlisted new trainer Brian McIntyre supporting him, while his opponent vowed to come back as a better form of himself.
The trainer noted, “I believe this will be a little bit easier this time. Eubank has got his number.”
Benn responded with a defiant comment: “It’s amusing that he hired a new trainer , because he realizes you’re going to need it.”
